ENGLEWOOD – Willis McGahee was back at practice Wednesday, and even though it was only on a limited basis, he wasn’t worried about the possibility that his rib cartilage injury might keep him out Sunday.
“All systems go on my end,” McGahee said.
“Three days ago, it was a little tough, but today running around, just out there moving, felt pretty good.”
McGahee said he didn’t remember which hit caused the injury last Sunday. He attempted to return, but one carry in the third quarter was enough to tell him that he was done.
“I got hit one time, and it felt like my whole world ended,” McGahee said. “I’d rather try to be healthy for this game coming up.”
Wearing extra padding like a flak jacket around the ribs is a possibility, McGahee said.
“That’s a good question. Maybe, maybe not. I don’t know. It depends on how this week goes. Depends how I feel,” he said.
