Broncos fan assaulted at Chargers game Monday

Most in Denver were at the edge of their seats, as they watched the Broncos score 35-unanswered points to beat the Chargers 35-24 in San Diego.

But at least one Broncos fan didn’t see it.

A 22-year old man wearing a Broncos jersey was knocked out at Qualcomm Stadium prior to Monday night’s kickoff.

“Someone spilled their beer on me, and the next thing I noticed I woke up in a hospital the next day,” the victim named Eric, who didn’t want to give his last name, told San Diego’s Fox 5.

Eric told the pundit that right before kickoff, he was bludgeoned in the back of the head and fell to the ground, immediately passing out.

Thursday, the man is now at home, but can barely move.

“I was bleeding from my head, my body is in pain,” he told the outlet. “I’m taking medication every day, and I’ve lost my scent of smell.”

No arrests have been made and police are looking for anyone who witnessed the assault.
