Erie will build new outdoor velodrome for its cyclists

Set for an opening in April 2013, Erie will soon be home to Colorado’s newest outdoor velodrome.
Cyclists rejoice!
Owners Frank Banta and Doug Emerson hope to bring droves of track cyclists to their new venue, which is one of two velodrome’s in Colorado after Boulder Indoor Cycling closed this spring.
Boulder Valley Velodrome will be home to 10 regular clubs with 30 members each, with membership costing $500 per member.
As of now, the velodrome hopes to stay open during all seasons.
