After spending two straight weeks in the Associated Press’ top 25, CU men’s basketball has dropped out of the rankings following the team’s 76-69 loss to Wyoming in Laramie over the weekend.
Colorado was ranked No. 19 last week, following a debut at No. 23, which was Colorado’s first appearance in the top 25 since the 1996-97 season.
The good news? The Buffs (6-1) received 44 votes in the AP Poll and are still ranked fifth in CBSsports.com RPI ranking, which is based on strength of schedule. Undefeated Colorado State (6-0) and Wyoming (8-0) each received five votes in the latest AP Poll.
CSU will visit the Coors Events Center this Wednesday. The Buffs and Rams are slated for an 8:30 p.m. tipoff.
