Twenty-year-old Nuggets rookie Quincy Miller is new to the NBA, having been selected by the Nuggets in the second round of June’s NBA draft after leaving Baylor following his freshman campaign. Being so young and playing with the elite of the elite, the Chicago native will have plenty of exciting challenges ahead of him this season as he works to try and make – and stick – on George Karl’s Nuggets squad this year. So each week for the rest of the season, Miller will chime in with his thoughts, ups, downs and insights about his rookie year exclusively here at milehighsports.com.
I’m back! Sorry for the hiatus, I’ve been in Des Moines playing for the Iowa Energy of the D-League, and I got some playing time that I really needed. But I came back on Sunday after three games out there, and I’m glad to be here!
As for Iowa, it was different, but I was playing. I had 17 points and 8 rebounds in a game, and I needed the playing time to keep me sane because I just love playing so much.
I was living in an apartment in Des Moines, and it was cool to be there, but again, I’m really glad to be back here in Denver. It was real good to get on the court.
Oh by the way, I’m growing a flat-top now. I had a mohawk before, but it’s flat-top time now! It seems right. The flat-top is the last hairstyle I’m going to have this season, so get ready. I just shaved my mohawk a couple of weeks ago, so it’ll be a little while until it’s in order!
Tweet me questions on my Twitter account, @qmillertime, and I’ll try and answer some of the questions in next week’s blog! Thanks for reading, as always.
