It isn’t Springfield, Mass., but Colorado native Chauncey Billups is heading to a hall of fame.
The former George Washington Patriot was selected to headline the 24th class of the Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame, the Denver Post‘s Neil Devlin reported on Tuesday.
In his time as a prep standout, Billups led the Patriots to two Class 6A state championships in 1993 and 1994, while being selected to the all-state team in each of his four years in high school.
“The Class of 2012 reveals the breadth and depth that Colorado high school athletics and activities represent in our member schools,” CHSAA comissioner Paul Angelico said in a press release. “Each of the inductees has left a snapshot of his/her impact on this organization in a positive way.”
Billups along with the six other inductees will be honored at the Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast on Jan. 23.
