The Denver Cutthroats have a new forward.
Ontario native and University of Vermont alumnae Dean Strong has been assigned to the Fish from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters.
Strong is a 5-foot-8, 190-pound player who brings with him to Denver 75 games of experience in the AHL as well as time spent in the ECHL and playing overseas in Germany.
While playing for the University of Vermont, Strong received the Hockey East Len Ceglarski Award, which his handed out to the player demonstrating “superior conduct and sportsmanship on the ice.”
Strong will make his debut wearing No. 13 with the Cutthroats, who are currently 11-8-1 and face the Allen Americans in Texas on Friday.
