Ring of Fire MMA will fight for entertainment in front of some of those who fight for our country.
For the first time in the 13-year history of the promotion, there will be a live event on an active duty military base with the announcement of “Buckley MMA Fight Night” on Monday on Ring of Fire’s website.
“Buckley Air Force Base is honored to host this event and build these standards for our base and the Military members we serve,” commercial sponsorship coordinator Leslie Gaylord said. “I have worked for the Military over 7 years in Special Events and bringing this to Buckley will be legendary for them!”
The event, scheduled for February 9, is set to include a 10-fight card featuring Colorado native Alvin “Kid” Robinson and Fabio “Jungle Boy” Serrao in the main event.
“I’m excited to be fighting in my hometown of Colorado on the show that helped me come up in the sport, Ring of Fire,” Robinson told the site. “It’s an honor and a privilege to be able to provide some entertainment for our U.S. military. I hope to put on a good show.”
There will also be an Internet broadcast of the event sponsored by Mile High Sports’ own Shameless MMA with some of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warriors Fund.
