Nolan Arenado needs you to rock the vote to make him the starting third baseman in this year’s MLB All-Star Game.

With reigning National League MVP Kris Bryant holding down the hot corner the past two years, most Rockies fans expected Arenado to fighting for runner-up in All-Star voting. And for the most part this year, he had been. That is until MLB Communications tweeted the following on Monday.

In National League voting for the midsummer classic, Arenado trails Bryant as the starting third baseman by less than 60,000 votes. Bryant is sitting at 1,978,692 while Arenado has racked up 1,920,610 votes of his own.

With the entire Rockies team having a breakout season as a whole, it’s no surprise to see a few Colorado stars in the mix to play and even start. With more than three million votes, Charlie Blackmon has all but locked up one of the three starting outfielders.

Arenado is having another fantastic year with a slash line (batting average/on base percentage/sluggling percentage) of .296/.347/.559, he leads the Rockies with 59 RBIs (also good for third in the majors), and has only made one error on the season in the field at one of the game’s more difficult defensive positions (good for a .995 fielding percentage, best in the NL). Also let’s not forget about his Father’s Day heroics.

There are only four more days to vote for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game as voting ends on June 29th. Arenado has a chance to dethrone the reigning MVP and World Series champion as the starter at the hot corner. Rockies fans, follow the link in the tweet or CLICK HERE. Get out there and vote Nolan for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game!

The results will be announced during the selection show on ESPN on Sunday, July 2.
