How many wins will Ubaldo get this season? The guy is pitching lights out, but is getting little run support since his team-record-tying 17th victory. Twenty wins should have been a cakewalk, but now it may be a pipe dream.

Give me the score of tonight’s Broncos/Vikings final preseason game. Gil’s Pick: Vikings win 28-17.

What Broncos player will score against the Vikings on the longest play. Gil’s guess: Eddie Royal: 37 yards, on the opening drive.

Ubaldo Jimenez battles Tim Lincecum on the road. I guess this is what it should come down to, the immoveable object against the irresistible force.

Carlos Gonzalez’s line-drive triple came off of an exploding bat, which fooled outfielder Cody Ross. The hardest ball to judge is a line drive hit right at you, and the broken bat was a break for the Rox. Ross stepped up thinking it wouldn’t carry, but it easily sailed over his head. So an easy out turned into a triple for the Rockies, and kept their season alive, when Gonzalez scored the winning run on a bad throw from the cut-off man. Wow, you should have stayed up.

The Broncos will get a look at Brett Favre in Thursday night’s game. Favre, who has seen limited action, needs to tune up before the regular season. Timmy and Brady will see plenty of action, and the pressure is on Quinn; he’s done little to impress anyone.

Kyle Orton is an idiot. Leaving himself exposed to a hit like that after the Broncos have put all their eggs in his basket was just plain stupid. He’s a veteran and should know the difference between a big moment in a regular season game, where you might want him to attempt hat tackle, from early game action in the preseason. “Stupid is as, as stupid does,” Forrest Gump said.

Hey fantasy guys, I’ve thought all along that Eddie Royal was going to be the beneficiary of the slot position in the Broncos offense. Brandon Lloyd has been the leading receiver thus far, and more importantly he has been targeted the most, as well. When it comes time, pull the trigger on Lloyd and leave Royal on the board.

Manny Ramirez’s career with the Dodgers ended at home plate yesterday. The classless Ramirez got himself tossed out of the game rather than try to help his team as a pinch hitter with bases loaded. Joe Torre probably should have known better, but the audacity of the guy. Sheesh!

Carmelo Anthony is going to make a movie rather than represent his country at the World Basketball Championships in Turkey. I can’t wait to write a review on that film; I’m sure he’ll be in a turkey, but he should be in Turkey instead.

Meanwhile in the headless franchise, J.R. Smith is choking in the off-season, rather than in big games. Is that a good thing? Me neither.

Dodgers, Dodgers, Dodgers, does anyone have a broom? Can you just let Ubaldo get to 18, for goodness sake?

Gil.....since you are from Chicago, I have this question.....I went to all three games this weekend, and obviously, there were thousands of Cubs fans there with there Cub gear on. My question is this....how moronic are these people with there gear that is all about old Cub players. No one wears the names of their current players, they all wear, Maddux, Banks, Garciapara, Edmonds etal...are they that enthralled with a horrible past??????
