Reinforcements are coming!

With the Lions cutting Justin Forsett over the weekend, the Denver Broncos were quick to jump on the running back, claiming him off waivers on Monday and reuniting him with head coach Gary Kubiak, who coordinated Forsett to the best season of his career in Baltimore.

Forsett, who was largely a journeyman back for the first six years of his career, had a breakout season in 2014 under Kubiak, rushing for 1,266 yards on 5.4 yards per carry and earning a Pro Bowl visit.

His production has fallen off over the last two years, and at 31, it’s fair to ask how much he has left in the tank, but with Denver’s backfield becoming increasingly bare, he should be a welcomed addition in the Mile High City.
