No need to worry, Denver. Von Miller is a Bronco.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Broncos and their superstar pass rusher have agreed to a six-year, $114 million deal with $59 million guaranteed in the first nine months and $70 million fully guaranteed by March 2018, with no offset language.

Back in June, Miller agreed to the framework of the same deal, but wouldn’t go further than that without Elway upping the guarantees. At the time he was only willing to guarantee the first two years of the deal, which didn’t fly with Miller’s camp.

Last week, reports surfaced that Elway had moved up the deadline date to guarantee Miller’s third season, but apparently that wasn’t enough to get the deal done, either.

Yesterday, though, Elway reportedly upped his offer to include over $70 million in guarantees.

With the contract now signed and official, Miller is, based on guarantees, the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history and the second highest-paid player period, only trailing the Colts’ Andrew Luck.

And if you’re wondering whether he deserves it, the answer is yes.

Per Pro Football Reference, Miller has the sixth-most sacks in NFL history through a player’s first five seasons. It’s important to note, though, that Miller has played fewer games than every one of the players in front of him.
