The Denver Broncos and Colorado Rapids are teaming up to host the first ever #FootballvsFútbol campaign with the initial event taking place at the UCHealth Training Center on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. MDT. Tuesday’s ‘Football vs. Fútbol’ event will officially kick off of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) for the Broncos.

During two separate days in September, the Broncos and Rapids players will showcase the similarities between football and soccer in addition to providing an opportunity to learn the skills needed to be a professional athlete in each respective sport.

On Tuesday, players from the Broncos and Rapids will spend time together reflecting on the similarities and differences between football and soccer, while exploring their skills both on and off the field. In addition, players from each team will face off in a friendly competition playing EA Sports’ MADDEN NFL 17 and FIFA 16.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 6–7:30 p.m. MDT, the two teams will host 100 Denver-area kids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for a 90-minute skills and drills clinic. Select Broncos and Rapids players will be on hand to take the participating children through the exercises and offer advice on how to master their corresponding sports.

Upon completion of the clinic, the children in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the players in addition to photo opportunities.
