Head coach Mike Bobo added depth to the linebacker position on Wednesday, announcing the signing of JUCO transfer Anthony Giusti. A transfer from City College of San Francisco, Giusti has three years of eligibility remaining and can play for Colorado State this fall.

As a freshman in 2015, Giusti played in all 13 games for City College of San Francisco. His 76 tackles were the second-most on the team, as were his 6.5 tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble. Giusti had nine stops in CCSF’s victory over Saddleback in the junior college national championship game. Giusti and the Rams’ defense allowed just 17.4 points per game last season en route to a 12-1 record. He earned Northern California Bay 6 League National Division honors.

The 6-1, 230-pound linebacker attended Marin Catholic High School in Greenbrae, Calif., advancing to the state title game in 2013. He is the second addition to the Rams’ roster in the past week, with CSU also signing Nebraska transfer Paul Thurston, a center with one year of immediate eligibility remaining.
