The Colorado State Rams are set to kick off the 2016 football season on Friday, Sept. 2 against the Colorado Buffaloes in the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown. Rams head coach Mike Bobo was at CB & Potts in Fort Collins on Tuesday night to preview the game in the first “Coors Light Mike Bobo Coach’s Show” of the season.

Bobo and Rams play-by-play announcer Brian Roth opened the show talking about how the coach is adjusting to his second year in Fort Collins and the changes 2016 will bring from his first season.

In Segment 2, Coach Bobo gives insight on what he expects from the quarterback position – although he’s still keeping it a secret who will be starting on Friday against the Buffs.

The Rams lost wide receiver Rashard Higgins to the NFL, but Coach Bobo has an idea how the team can replace his productivity by spreading the ball around. He also says the offensive line will be the core of the offense.

In the penultimate segment of this year’s first show, Coach Bobo runs down the injuries heading into Friday’s game and previews the defense.

To wrap up the show Coach Bobo offers up his full analysis of the Buffaloes and previews how the Rams will attack CU’s experienced defense.
