The Colorado Rockies have added a bat to the lineup without making a trade as the deadline approaches. Outfielder Corey Dickerson has rejoined the club.

The activation from the disabled list has the Rockies feeling like a kid on Christmas morning (if I’m reading emoji correctly). To make room on the roster Rex Brothers has been sent back down to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Dickerson was placed on the DL on June 17 with plantar fasciitis. He has played 38 games with the Rockies this year, hitting .299 with five home runs and 16 RBIs.

In his first game back, Dickerson will play left field and bat sixth for the Rockies against the Cincinnati Reds.
