Winning can mask a lot of problems. Ask John Fox.

In fact, Gil Whiteley of Mile High Sports AM 1340 asked Fox that on more than one occasion. But Whiteley never got the sense that under Fox the Broncos were learning with each victory.

That’s not the case with Gary Kubiak now at the helm, in Whiteley’s estimation.

Through four weeks and four wins, the longtime radio host knows the Broncos have definite problems, but he sees growth from Kubiak’s squad compared to years past. That’s promising, as Denver has battled its way to those four wins.

But he thinks previous teams with Peyton Manning at the helm would have beat Minnesota by 25 points. Whiteley also says a time will come when the Broncos will need to put a team away for good, and so far this year they haven’t been able to do that.

Can they learn to have that killer instinct they seem to be lacking at present?

Whiteley spoke on that, plus his concerns about Manning’s accuracy, in the podcast below…
