The Denver Broncos improved their depth at the cornerback position by selecting Lamar’s Brendan Langley with the 101st pick in the NFL Draft.

Langley played both wide receiver and cornerback at Lamar, but he excelled most on defense. He was tied for third in the nation in interceptions last season with six. Like fellow 2017 third-round draft pick wide receiver Carlos Henderson, Langley can also return kicks and plays some wide receiver. He was named first-team all-conference in the Southland for both the cornerback and punt returner positions.

He’ll join the usual suspects in the Denver secondary. He’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best at his position in the game, and much like Bradley Roby, will have time to develop.
