The Houston Rockets didn’t look like a team that just one night prior went to double-overtime and beat the Golden State Warriors. Houston came out with energy and intensity on the second night of a road back-to-back, soundly defeating the Denver Nuggets 128-110 at Pepsi Center.

Houston never trailed in the game and seven different Rockets scored in double figures. James Harden had a team-high 20 points and seven assists in the win.

Wilson Chandler led all scorers with 24, but Denver managed to work their way to the free throw line just 16 times in the game and allowed Houston to shoot 45.9 percent from 3-point range. Head coach Michael Malone was left searching for answers postgame as to why his team, on normal rest, could be outworked by a Houston team playing on fumes.

Denver, now 7-12, has lost four of their last five games, including three at home. They travel to Utah on Saturday night for their third meeting with the Jazz in two weeks.
