It’s got to be good to be John Elway.

Not only is he the greatest quarterback in Broncos’ history, not only does he have two Super Bowl rings and a bust in Canton, but John Elway has now been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Century.

The designation was determined by a panel of 119 former coaches, player and media, who also named the 50 greatest players to ever play in the historic conference.

In his four years at Stanford, Elway cemented himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in college football history. His career was highlighted by a senior season in which he was named the 1982 Pac-10 Player of the Year, he was awarded the Sammy Baugh Trophy (for the nation’s top passer), he was named a Consensus All-American and led the nation in touchdowns and passing yards.

As every Broncos fan knows, Elway was selected first overall by the Baltimore Colts before being traded to Denver, where he would go on to become the greatest athlete in the city’s history.

Even with everything else on his resume, this has to rank right up there.

This one (and a whole bunch of other stuff) is for John!!
