The San Jacinto-North Gators and Dodge City Conquistadors fight to stay in the 2015 JUCO World Series in elimination game three. The loser goes home and the winner stays here in Grand Junction, Colo., for the right to win a championship.

Dodge City started out hot scoring two runs in the first two innings, off their 23 runs from yesterday’s game. At the midway point of the game San Jacinto’s bats found life having big innings in the 4th and 5th, scoring four and three runs respectively. Both teams let the chess match ensue in a 7-4 game. San Jacinto used four pitchers through nine innings, doing whatever they can to win. Dodge City then countered by using three total pitchers in nine innings. Every time San Jacinto scored Dodge City scored trying to get that equalizing run. The Conquistadors scored three runs in the final four innings coming up just short. San Jacinto, fan favorite of many, outlasted Dodge City getting two runs in the last two innings. The Gators two runs in the final innings gave them enough insurance hanging on for the 9-7 victory.

The 9-7 win for San Jacinto gives them another day in the tournament giving them two wins in a row. San Jacinto now plays the loser of the winner bracket game Walters State, TN vs. McLennan CC, TX. The loss for Dodge City CC eliminates them from the tournament. Dodge City finishes 42-20 on the year.
