On April 27, Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray underwent surgery to repair core muscle-related injuries. By all accounts, the operation was successful.

On Thursday, fellow Nuggets guard Malik Beasley provided an update on Murray to Sean Walsh and T.J. McBride on Mile High Sports Radio.

“A big shout out to Jamal [Murray], because he just started running yesterday,” Beasley said. “So, that’s a huge thing, especially after his surgery.”

Playing in all 82 games last season, Murray averaged 9.9 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per contest.
