Danilo Gallinari has been a center piece in on going trade talks between the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics.

However, talks have been one sided with the Celtics attempting to pry Gallinari away from Denver.

Yahoo Sports reporter Chris Mannix confirmed that the Celtics have shown heavy interest in Gallinari while making an appearance on a local radio show in Boston.

Mannix than added that it would take a lot for the Nuggets to let go of Gallo and that the team plans to build around him in the future.

The Nuggets have set the bar high on Gallinari considering he is in the midst of his best season in his career.

Reports state that the Nuggets would seek at the least two first round draft picks to even begin to talk about a trade involving the Italian.

The binding factor that would determine a trade between the two sides is the willingness of the Celtics to deal the Brooklyn Nets 2016 unprotected first-round pick.

All reports indicate that the pick is “definitely not available,” according to Mannix. The Nets pick would most likely need to be involved for the Nuggets to consider trading Gallinari.

Gallinari is attractive to a number of teams because he is under team control through the 2017 season and has a fair salary for a player of his caliber. Gallinari is also a sharpshooter that is more than capable of putting up 20 points on a nightly basis.

Gallo is averaging 19.5 points per game this season.

As it stands now trade talks between the two sides are just conversation; however, it is known that the Nuggets would be willing to trade the Italian if the right deal presents itself.
