The Colorado Rockies picked up their 62nd win of the season Friday night against the San Diego Padres – the team they’re chasing in hopes of avoiding a last place finish in the National League West. A fifth-place finish in 2015 would be Colorado’s fourth cellar-dwelling finish in five years.

The Rockies need to gain seven games on the Padres in the final 15 games of the season, with a game in hand, to avoid their seventh last-place finish in franchise history. It’s an unlikely scenario, as Colorado faces Pittsburgh, who is just one game back in the NL Wild Card, and Los Angeles, who enters Saturday with an 8.5 game lead on San Francisco in the  division, to round out their final home stand of the year.

Thanks to Atlanta and Philadelphia, it appears that Colorado will at least avoid the fate of being the worst team in baseball, but 2015 will mark another disappointing year in the win-loss column for a team that fielded three All-Stars and will likely have the NL’s RBI king and could put two players atop the NL in home runs.

Still, the marketing arm of the franchise has devised plenty of reasons for fans to make one  (or more) final trip to Coors Field as the season winds down. The final nine home games of the season are jammed with seven different promotional events to give fans something to root for, even if the baseball disappoints.

Here’s a snapshot of the remaining promotional events, with descriptions provided from the team…
