As of last night, the Denver Broncos weren’t sure how long DeMarcus Ware may be sidelined or whether he’ll need surgery on his broken arm. This morning, the first question remains foggy but we’ve learned that Ware will in fact undergo surgery on his broken forearm.

Reports last night were that were that Ware could be out three to six weeks, which is a fairly large timetable, but with the news of the surgery, it’s likely we should expect his absence to be on the longer end.

Luckily, the Broncos have two capable replacements in Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett behind him. And in all honesty, the most important thing for Ware is that he’s healthy in December and January; maybe a few weeks off in September and October will do him some good.
