With Trevor Siemian sitting out a second straight day of practice, the Denver Broncos are worried that their starting quarterback might not make it back to the field in time to face the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday. If not, that would put rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch in line for his second start of the season.
In his lone start of the season, Lynch completed 66 percent of his passes for 223 yards and a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons, but he also tossed an interception and took six sacks in the team’s first loss of the season.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, the Broncos are still worried that their first-round pick isn’t ready for the spotlight.
With us having seen so little of Lynch, it’s difficult to know just how ready he is or isn’t.
If he does impress, though, it could be the start of the Lynch era.
