The seventh pick isn’t a bad place to be for the Denver Nuggets. Most draft analysts have the top tier of prospects extending seven or eight deep, so Denver is all but assured to come away with an exciting young player.

That said, if they have a single guy in mind, and they’re worried he could come off the board before seven, it might makes sense to move up given their excess draft selections.

According to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post, though, that may not be the case.

Either that means the Nuggets are comfortable that “their guy” will be there at seven or that they’re comfortable with whoever is there at seven.

But if they do remain at No. 7, don’t expect them to do the same with their later picks. Denver needs to do some wheeling and dealing, and that could extend well into the night.
