If Peyton Manning can’t convince himself to step away from the game this offseason, the question becomes where will he go? The Broncos have, reportedly, already given Brock Osweiler a “significant offer,” and it seems that they are ready to move on from No. 18, one way or another.

That puts destinations like Los Angeles and Houston as possible destinations for Manning; that is, given he doesn’t really want to make things work with the Denver Broncos.

And according to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, he might want to do just that. Cole says that Manning could want to return to Denver, even if that means that he returns as Brock Osweiler’s backup.

Cole, though, does say that a scenario where both quarterbacks return in 2016 is unlikely; the Broncos are ready to move on from Manning.

And given the “significant offer” they’ve put on the table for Osweiler, it’s hard to imagine that they’d be willing to pay Manning whatever it is he’d be looking for to sit on the bench and hold a clipboard.

Still, the plot continues to thicken.
