The Broncos, John Elway and all of their fans want Malik Jackson back in Denver for another go-round, but with the looming contracts of Von Miller and Brock Osweiler, that may be easier said then done.

According to NFL.com, Jackson is the No. 1 free agent on the open market this offseason, and that means someone is going to give him a lot of money — quarterback-like money. So unless he’s willing to take a significant home-town discount, which he might, the Broncos are going to have to find someone else to replace their top defensive end.

But if he does end up leaving, Broncos Country is sure to understand. The man earned his payday, he helped bring a Super Bowl championship to Denver and now he’s going to reap his reward.

That is … as long as he doesn’t go to the Oakland Raiders.

It makes sense. Next to Wade Phillips, Jack Del Rio has probably played the biggest role in Jackson’s development from fifth-round pick to burgeoning superstar. Plus, the Raiders have a ton of money to spare, as in over $74 million in cap space.

But come on, Malik, not the Raiders. Anyone but the Raiders!
