With anticipation for the 2015 MLS All-Star game at an all time high, the Colorado Rapids have one more reason to celebrate. All-Star coach Pablo Mastroeni announced that five players will be replacing four players on the All-Star roster due to injury. One of those players is none other than the Rapids very own, midfielder Sam Cronin.

He will be joined by Columbus Crew SC teammates Ethan Finlay and Waylon Francis, Galaxy duo Juninho and Gyasi Zardes. The players will be replacing Galaxy Designated Players Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane, Toronto FC and USMNT captain Michael Bradley and New England Revolution defender Chris Tierney.

In the 16 games he has played this season, Cronin has been rather impressive. He has one goal on 15 shots with two SOG in 1,257 minutes.

The 2015 AT&T All-Star will take place Wednesday, July 29 at 7 p.m. MDT at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. The game can be viewed on Altitude Sports, ESPN3 and mlssoccer.com.
