Seven Denver Outlaws players were selected to Major League Lacrosse’s All-Star Game to be played on Friday, July 7, at Bonney Field in Sacramento, Calif. The Outlaws’ seven selections matched the Ohio Machine for the most in the league.

Defenseman Matt Bocklet and midfielder Jeremy Sieverts will make their fifth career All-Star appearances, the most among active Outlaws players.

Matt Bocklet, Denver’s all-time leading leader in ground balls and an All-Star in 2009-11 and ‘16, leads all Outlaws players this season with 34 ground balls.

Sieverts has earned all five of his All-Star selections as a member of the Outlaws. The eighth-year pro ranks fourth on the team with 17 points (6 goals, 1 2pt. goal, 10 assists).

Attackman Eric Law will be playing in his fourth consecutive All-Star Game, a streak that leads all Denver players. The 2016 MLL Championship Game MVP ranks second on the Outlaws with 16 goals.

Midfielder Drew Snider will compete in his fourth career All-Star Game (2013-14, ’16-17). Snider has contributed steadily on both offense and defense, recording 12 points (9 goals, 3 assists) and 15 ground balls.

Defenseman Michael Simon will be playing in his third career All-Star Game (2014, ’16-17). Simon has posted 15 ground balls in addition to scoring a two-point goal.

Attackman Mike Bocklet and faceoff specialist Tom Kelly were chosen to their first All-Star contests. In his third MLL season, Mike Bocklet ranks third in the league with 20 goals and has recorded two game-winning goals.

Kelly has won 107-of-193 faceoffs (55.4%) to rank fifth in the league in his second season playing in the MLL.

Denver (5-2) is currently tied atop the MLL standings. The Outlaws return to action on against the New York Lizards on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
