Victory is sweet, especially in sports. But celebrating that victory might be even sweeter. That’s certainly the case for the fans, especially when they get to celebrate with their team. The players, coaches and staff celebrated with the fans on Tuesday as the Denver Broncos Super Bowl 50 victory parade made its way from Union Station to Civic Center Park for the grand finale celebration.

On what Governor John Hickenlooper and Mayor Michael Hancock formally declared “Pat Bowlen Day,” hundreds of thousands of Broncos fans crowded into downtown to celebrate and cheer their team for delivering the franchise’s third Lombardi Trophy.

Fans were first entertained by a lineup of great locally-based bands including Big Head Todd and the Monsters (who flew in to Denver just to play the show despite having a gig in Indianapolis that night) and Boulder’s 3OH3!

John Elway, Gary Kubiak, Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware and Peyton Manning all spoke to the crowd (video below) and shared some inspirational words with the cheering crowd.

The MHS team (along with our partners at USA Today Sports) were up and down the parade route and had a perch high above the crowd to capture the action from the final ceremony on the City and County building steps.

Here’s a look at some of the sights and sounds that came out of the Denver Broncos Super Bowl 50 victory parade and celebration.
