Armchair coordinators love to point the finger and question just about everything on god’s green earth, and that’s fine; that’s what fans are supposed to do.

But there’s more to coaching than what we glean from the TV every Sunday.

Gary Kubiak has received a lot of flack over the last few weeks. For an “offensive mastermind,” he sure has had a difficult time getting his unit to perform anywhere above a rudimentary level, and the fans have let him know.

Why aren’t we running more? Where’s the bootleg? Can nobody develop a quarterback in this town??

Again, all fair. Fans are allowed to question and no coach is infallible. And still, it’s important to remember that the Denver Broncos have been blessed with one heck of a football coach.

No team —  not the Patriots, Seahawks, Packers or Panthers — has more wins in the last two years than Kubiak and his Denver Broncos. And if you’ve been following the team, you know those wins haven’t come easily.

Despite shuffling through four quarterbacks, none of which (including Peyton Manning) exactly world-beaters, this team has brought home 23 victories under the guidance of Kubiak; that’s absurdly impressive.

In the NFL, the most important thing is winning, and nobody has done it better than him.
