This is not where Patrick Roy and the Colorado Avalanche wanted to be sitting after seven games into the season. The Avs have posted a 2-4-1 record but their record doesn’t tell the whole story nor is their biggest concern. Bad losses, poor defensive play, poor goaltending and a slumping offense has defined their season thus far.

Terry Frei of the Denver Post joined Afternoon Drive with Eric Goodman and Zach Fogg and said denial is starting to seep into the locker room.

“There’s just too much denial going on. Look, we’re all big boys we know you say different things behind closed doors than you do to the public but I just think there’s little too much dodging of accountability, too much denial going on over there,” Frei said.
