For 38 years the fastest cars in the world have been rattling the rocks on Thunder Mountain – formally known as Bandimere Speedway in Morrison. On Friday night one of the legacy stars of the sport set new speed records at the legendary track. And she wasn’t the only one to do so.

Courtney Force-Rahal, the youngest daughter of 16-time NHRA World Funny Car Champion John Force, set a pair of track records with her 3.889 pass at 328.30 mph.

It was a huge night for John Force Racing, who took the top three spots in Funny Car qualifying.

In the Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro SS, Courtney led a 1-2-3 sweep of Funny Car qualifying.

Her dad, PEAK Coolant and Motor Oil driver John Force, sitting No. 2 and Auto Club of Southern California driver Robert Hight came in at No. 3.

It was a great night for another Chevrolet driver in the Pro Stock category.

Drew Skillman nabbed the top qualifying spot in Pro Stock with this outstanding run.

In Top Fuel, Doug Kalitta took the No. 1 qualifying spot with elapsed time track record run of 3.767 at 323.97 in his Mac Tools dragster.
