The Colorado Rockies are fortunate enough to have one of the most dynamic offenses in the sport of baseball, with Carlos Gonzalez leading the way.
Rumors swirled around the baseball world a couple weeks ago about the idea of Gonzalez requesting a trade from the Rockies organization. Although nothing has materialized yet, manager Walt Weiss knows his club will be fielding a lot of calls.

As it currently stands, no indication has been made that the club is willing to part ways with the three-time All-Star, but any good organization is always willing to listen.
In the words of Don Corleone, a team could make the Rockies “an offer they can’t refuse.”
Right now, CarGo is probably the best offensive player possibly available at the trade deadline. He’s in the midst of one of his best seasons, hitting .318 with 19 home runs. And, more importantly, he has not missed any extended periods of time with injury, something that has plagued him in the past.
He is also under team control for next season, meaning he’s not going to be considered a rental.
The Rox are hoping to keep the 30-year-old star around, but that may not be realistic with how the team stands midway through the season.
