The Colorado Buffaloes turned some heads on Saturday in Eugene when they defeated the Oregon Ducks 41-38, led by redshirt freshman quarterback Steven Montez’s 333 yards passing and three touchdowns. But it was the insane one-handed catch made by Bryce Bobo midway through the fourth quarter that everyone is talking about.

Trailing 33-38 with 8:50 remaining and facing a third-and-ten from Oregon’s 31, instead of playing it safe and looking for a receiver around the first-down marker, Montez threw a pass that only Bobo could snare. The sophomore made his fifth reception on the day one that Buffs fans will remember for a long, long time.

The play was initially called as out-of-bounds, but video replay would deliver Bobo and the Buffs the biggest moment in the Mike MacIntyre era.

Bobo would also catch the two-point conversion to give the Buffs the three-point lead they’d hold until the end of the game. Ahkello Witherspoon sealed the game with a critical end zone interception on a Ducks’ first and goal from the Buffs’ 7-yard line.
