Cam Newton is supposed to be a freak of nature. He’s supposed to be one of the most athletic quarterbacks to ever play the game of football. He’s supposed to be able to outrun the majority of the defenders in the NFL.

So why does it take him 45 seconds to walk 15 feet to the podium?

Did he have a rough night out? Did he take a big hit in practice yesterday? Is he just tired of talking to the media?

It’s almost as if he started off walking comfortably, realized he was moving kind of slowly and then decided to bring it down to a snail’s pace for dramatic effect.

Whatever the reason, it’s just another example of Cam being Cam.

If there’s one thing we do know, though, it’s that Peyton Manning is unquestionably a faster walker than Cam Newton. Maybe that’ll come into play on Sunday …
