Jordan Norwood is having a good 2015. Not only has the Honolulu, Hawaii native finally found a stable place on an NFL roster for the first time since 2012, he’s on pace for his highest career total in receptions and fitting in nicely with a pair of Pro Bowl wide receivers in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. But the best thing to happen to him in 2015 might have just occurred on Nov. 4 and had nothing to do with the football field.

On Wednesday, Norwood and his wife welcomed their first child into the world. A baby girl.

He missed practice on Thursday for the second consecutive day. Norwood has battled a hamstring injury lately and missed Sunday’s game against Green Bay, but head coach Gary Kubiak said after practice the cause for Norwood’s absence from practice was the new bundle of joy. The family is “doing good,” according to Kubiak.

No doubt it’s been a big year for Norwood. A Broncos win on Sunday would cap a big week, especially if he’s healthy enough to get back in the lineup. No doubt he’d love to nab a few catches in his first game as a father.
