For the latest installment of the 20th and Blake podcast, Aniello Piro takes a look at the Rockies current eight-game road trip.

Following a 9-3 victory Wednesday night, the Rockies improved to 3-4 on their current road trip and have won the first two games of their ongoing series versus the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Antonio Senzatela will take the mound Sunday afternoon, looking to solidify a series sweep for the Rockies.

Piro covers a variety of topics on the podcast, including injury updates regarding Wade Davis and Tyler Anderson, Jeff Hoffman’s expected return to the rotation and Jario Diaz’ season debut.

Other topics include the Rockies victory versus the Pirates, Daniel Murphy and Tony Wolters increased production at the plate, Brendan Rodgers progression since being called-up and the outings from starters German Marquez and Jon Gray.

Piro also takes a look at the Rockies’ up-coming season-long 10-game homestand. The Rockies will return home after the road trip to face off against the Baltimore Orioles, Arizona Diamondbacks and Toronto Bue Jays.

Considering the Rockies still sit with a sub .500 record this season, the impending homestand is a golden opportunity for Colorado to make up some lost ground and try to get back on track this season.
