The Denver Nuggets honored players from the 2000’s in accordance with their 50th-anniversary celebration during Friday night’s 122-119 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Former players Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby, and Allen Iverson were in attendance to represent the 2000’s era Nuggets, an era which is considered to be the one of the best periods in Nuggets franchise history.

All three players were essential in the Nuggets’ run of success throughout the 2000’s, which included 10 straight trips to the playoff’s and an appearance in the Western Conference Finals in 2009.

The Nuggets honored the players at halftime, with fans packing the Pepsi Center to pay homage to some of the most iconic players in franchise history.

“It definitely brings back memories, man,” Martin said during his media session. “This is where I spent most of my career. It (Denver) definitely has a place in my heart.”

Martin averaged 12.3 points, seven rebounds, and 1.9 assists in his seven seasons as a Nugget.

“I was just out on the basketball court and it felt nostalgic. I felt like I was in a Nuggets uniform again.” Camby said of returning to Pepsi Center for the first time since 2013 when he was playing for the New York Knicks.

Camby averaged a double-double while wearing the baby blue and gold with 10.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while playing in Denver.

“You know why it’s so monumental for me?” Iverson said of his playing days in the Mile High City. “Is because being in a uniform for so long, and then being traded, and coming somewhere where basically you are wanted, … I was just happy that when I came here, to see the response from the fans and the organization and how they wanted me to be apart of everything. That was cool to me, so it was something I will definitely remember and cherish for the rest of my life.”

Iverson was a scoring machine in his three seasons in Denver as he posted averages of 25.6 points, 7.1 assists, and three rebounds per contest.
