The Avalanche have issued qualifying offers to forward Tyson Jost and defensemen Conor Timmins and Dennis Gilbert, it was announced Monday.

Travis Barron, Peyton Jones, Ty Lewis and Adam Werner did not receive offers and will become unrestricted free agents on Wednesday.

Jost, 23, had somewhat of a resurgent season with Colorado this past season, solidifying himself as the third line center. He was paired with Valeri Nichushkin and one of Joonas Donskoi or Brandon Saad down the stretch.

While his offensive numbers have not reached where he or the Avs expected when he was first drafted 10th overall in 2016, his two-way game and penalty-killing games soared to new heights in 2021. Jost had seven goals and 17 points in 54 games with the Avs, and four points in 10 games in the playoffs.

Timmins appeared in 31 games for the Avs in 2021, recorded seven points, all of which were assists. He also played all 10 playoff games. It was his first full season with the main club after struggling with injuries in previous years and playing in the American Hockey League at times.
