After defeating the Coyotes one night earlier, the Avalanche completed their first two-game sweep on the road Saturday after pummeling Arizona 6-2 at Gila River Arena.

Colorado (11-6-1) got goals from depth pieces Tyson Jost, Jacob MacDonald and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, who all scored their first of the year. Captain Gabriel Landeskog also scored for the first time in the month of February.

“We want contributions from as many guys as we possibly can get,” Landeskog said. “Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been a little bit snakebitten as a group. You can tell it felt that way.”

Superstar Nathan MacKinnon and second-line winger Jonas Donskoi also scored for Colorado, who scored more than three goals for just the fourth time in 18 games.

Landeskog’s tally, his 202nd of his NHL career, tied him with Avalanche great Peter Forsberg for third-most goals since the team relocated from Quebec in 1995. Landeskog now trails only Joe Sakic and Milan Hejduk.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer started in goal for the Avs, winning his 10th game of the season and going 3-0 in games after getting a night off. Grubauer is third in the NHL in wins, trailing only Tampa Bay’s Andre Vasilevskiy and Toronto’s Frederick Andersen.

The Avs continue their road trip with another two-game series on the road — this time in San Jose. Colorado swept the Sharks earlier in the season at Ball Arena, scoring 10 goals in two games against the divisional foe.
