Bovada, one of the most popular online gambling sites, has released their over/under win totals for all 30 MLB clubs for the upcoming year.

The experts at Bovada placed the Colorado Rockies win total at 80 1/2 games.

With this number, Bovada obviously believes the Rockies will have another subpar, mediocre year, something the Rockies franchise has become accustomed to since their establishment.

However, this year, more so than year’s past, there is optimism surrounding the Rockies about just how good they may be.

The additions of Ian Desmond, Mike Dunn and Greg Holland were certainly power moves for the Rox. These signings mixed with the already talented roster Colorado possesses make for what is considered by many to be an intriguing year for the Rox.

The Rockies managed to win 76 games last year. Their young pitchers now have some experience under their belts and the offense should be as good, if not, better than last year’s, making the over in this scenario intriguing.

With that, pitching has been a never ending struggle for Colorado. That mixed with the undeniable amount of youth the Rockies are banking on, adds to the skepticism about how legit this team will be come opening day.

The Rockies open their season on April 3rd on road against the Milwaukee Brewers.
