It’s taken the Colorado Rockies a little over a month to come to a decision on their next manager, but with the World Series now over, Bud Black is the man in Denver.

Black spent nine years as the manager of the San Diego Padres, winning National League Manager of the Year in 2010 and finishing with an overall record of 649-713.

He will be entering the Rockies organization with one of the league’s best offenses already in hand, as well as a young, up-and-coming starting lineup. For him, it’ll be all about the bullpen, which capsized Colorado’s playoff dreams last year.
