The Denver Broncos have released cornerback Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones. In an Instagram post Tuesday afternoon, the 35-year old veteran defensive back thanked Denver for the opportunity this season and said that he is looking to his next NFL opportunity.

Denver signed Jones in August, hoping that his experience would benefit a relatively thin secondary. He failed to make much of an impact though, and the Broncos have decided to move on as a result.

In seven games with the Broncos this season, Jones had nine total tackles, zero interceptions and one pass deflection. On special teams, Jones had for kickoff returns for 85 yards and 10 punt returns for 25 yards.

Considering the Broncos gave up a season-high 384 passing yards in the victory over the Chargers, it will be interesting to see how Denver responds against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for at least 250 yards in every game this season and the Broncos have a ton of issues to fix in the secondary. Now without Jones, and Bradley Roby in concussion protocol, Denver’s secondary is even thinner.

The Broncos and Steelers will kickoff at 2:25 p.m. MT at Broncos Stadium at Mile High. Denver will be wearing its Color Rush uniforms at home for the first time.
