Why can’t we quit you, Tim Tebow?
According to ESPN, a group of Denver Broncos fans have started a petition to solve the franchise’s quarterback problem with the one and only Tim Tebow.
“Coach Gary Kubiak‘s offense would thrive with Tebow under center,” the petition reads. “He and the legendary John Elway can make this happen. We dont (sic) need a subpar throwaway from some other team, we need an original Bronco who has the fire, desire, and love of the game to play as a Bronco again! As a bonus the Bronco fans would be ecstatic! He just wins, we all know this! #TebowTime”
The petition was created over two months ago, before Peyton Manning‘s official retirement, and currently has over 5,000 supporters. It has been sent to John Elway, Gary Kubiak and the Denver Broncos media and public relations staff.
Tebow’s last snap came back in the 2012 season, and he’s since gone on to enjoy a successful media career. Still, he’s just 28 years old, and until he’s no longer capable of running or “Tebowing,” there will be Broncos fans clamoring for his return.
Sorry, guys, I think John Elway is going to pass on this one.
