The Denver Broncos first injury report for Week 14 is out and it’s a lengthy list. A full 21 players were included Wednesday in advance of Denver’s matchup with Oakland on Sunday. That’s 40 percent of the 53-man roster, 17 of which did not practice or were  limited in Wednesday’s practice. (Full injury report is below.)

Is that cause for concern? With one-quarter of the season still remaining, including two divisional matchups and two games with teams who would make the playoffs if the season ended today, Denver has a tough task ahead of them if they hope to maintain the No. 2 seed in the AFC, let alone jump Cincinnati for the top seed.

Adam Kinney and Josh Dover on Mile High Sports AM 1340 on Thursday took a look at  the injuries on the latest report and classified each one as either ‘concerning’ or ‘not concerning’ as the Broncos head down the home stretch.

Both of Denver’s top running backs, C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman did not practice Wednesday. Kinney and Dover say that’s very concerning. It could mean that Kapri Bibbs returns to the active roster as an insurance policy because of additional injury concern for third-string back Juwan Thompson.

Five offensive linemen were listed, although three were full participants in practice. Not concerning, says Dover.

In the secondary, David Bruton, Omar Bolden and T.J. Ward all did not practice. That’s concerning says Kinney because of the limited depth behind them.

Just how concerning are the Broncos injuries? Kinney and Dover needed two full segments of their show to catalog the injury issues that are piling up. Check out their full discussion in the podcasts below.
