Bullpen at the Breaking Point

The Colorado Rockies have seven of their last nine games, and have had a disastrous homestead – with three games remaining against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Host Shawn Drotar (Host, “Mornings at 5280′“) and guest Eric Goodman (Host, “Afternoon Drive with Goodman and Shapiro”) talk about the Rockies’ free-fall, and especially how the baffling, awful performances out of the bullpen have doomed the Rockies in far too many games this season.

The expensive, underperforming bullpen might eventually sink their season, too.

The pair talk about how Wade Davis’ blown saves and Bryan Shaw and Jake McGee’ disappointing seasons affect morale on a team that’s struggling to stay in the NL West race, and discuss how critical the final three games of the homestand are – especially since the Rockies will travel to Houston and Atlanta next.
