Even though it’s still more than a month away, one of the hottest tickets in town is the NHL Stadium Series game between the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings, set to be played on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Coors Field. An even hotter ticket might be to the alumni game that will see Avs and Wings greats like Patrick Roy, Peter Forsberg and Milan Hejduk take the ice against their foes from one of the greatest rivalries in recent sports memory.

The Avs-Red Wings rivalry defined hockey in the 1990s and Coors Light wanted one lucky fan to have the opportunity to relive that rivalry free of charge and see the current teams square off the next day.

Through a series of radio remote broadcasts and promotional events at Blake Street Tavern, Mile High Sports and Coors Light collected hundreds of entries between Nov. 10, 2015 and Jan. 18, 2016 from avid Avs fans hoping to join what is sure to be the biggest party of the hockey season.

Brianna Leach was the lucky winner drawn on Monday night amid a crowd of anxious fans at Blake Street Tavern, who also got to watch their Avalanche skate to a 2-1 win over the Jets in Winnipeg.

Semyon Varlamov had 36 saves and earned the game’s No. 1 star. Carl Soderberg got the scoring going for Colorado and tallied an assist, taking home the No. 2 star.

Leach is a longtime hockey fan and attended several of the entry events leading up to the drawing. She’ll be attending both the NHL game and the alumni game, courtesy of Coors Light, and couldn’t be more excited.

Don’t worry if you missed your chance to win via Coors Light, Mile High Sports and Blake Street Tavern. Coors Light is giving away additional tickets to both games to fans of legal drinking age who reside in the state of Colorado. Click here to register.
